Gloria Maris had its beginnings in fine dining. However, another way was seen to expand the name visibility and increase customer coverage. This was done by the opening of the first Gloria Maris Dimsum and noodles house in Wilson st. catering more to average class customers and not concentrating quite as much on the fine dining. A few months after this, a new extension of Gloria Maris Shark's Fin Restaurant in Greenhills was added to include Gloria Maris Dimsum and Noodles. Gloria Maris focus on attaining customer satisfaction have greatly enhanced Gloria Maris success in providing the Filipino with quality FILIPINO-CHINESE food plus fast, efficient service.
Gloria Maris Dimsum and Noodles is Gloria Maris tribute to its value - oriented clientele, with more money to spend but less time to enjoy meals. This is market that Gloria Maris has targeted to satisfy. This expansion of customer base set the tone for hat was to be the main thrust of growth strategy by the company. With the long term vision of massive expansion, a centralized location would be needed for distribution of materials as well as quality control for the many prepared materials involved in maintaining a truly fine dining experience. Hence, a commissary was established with the express purpose of supplying all materials to existing Gloria Maris Locations. This foresight and vision have truly paid off; leaving this venture fully capable and willing to cater to the existing as well as planned Gloria Maris branches.
A year ago, additions to the Gloria Maris restaurant family were established: Gloria Maris Dimsum Kitchen of Ongpin and Banawe Ave. in Quezon City thereby expanding name familiarity and popularity even further. The name was slightly revised in answer to the customer demand of combination of fine dining and Dimsum under one roof. Just few months in operation, it is already showing a great success with a solid customer base. Branches in Malate and Greenbelt soon followed after a year. These branches gave the restaurant a foothold both for the growing Malate crowd and the professionals in Makati. Surely this is a sign of the ever - growing popularity of the Gloria Maris name as a quality Fine Dining location and Dimsum and Noodle Kitchen.
