Beginnings...

In 1993, there was a vacuum in the market for an authentic fine dining Chinese restaurant.The founders saw an opportunity left by the former Gloria Maris restaurant ; together with HongKong based culinary genius Mr. Choi, the founders decided to re-launch at as Gloria Maris Shark's Fin Restaurant. This is a Chinese Fine Dining Restaurant designed for the most elegant functions and / or dining experience. with a prime location seaside to manila bay, being located on the grounds of CCP Complex with a reputation for a truly fine dining some of the finest Chinese food in Metro manila, it was seen to be a prime investment and development opportunity. Thus came the rebirth of Gloria Maris Shark's Fin restaurant.

With the advent of this new Gloria Maris Shark's Fin Restaurant, it established an image based on a homegrown version where service, quality and commitment and work ethics thrive, where productivity in natural priority. the result is an institution in the Filipino's definition of good Chinese cuisine. People worked hard to achieve for Gloria Maris the image that it has today.

Along with the initial location at the CCP complex, a chance was send to expand the Gloria Maris name almost immediately. This the founders did, locating it in a prime location near the ever popular Greenhills Shopping Complex. This was to be the biggest fine dining restaurant in Manila in its time,with two floors to cater the banquets.
